Ginger Liebmann, LPC-IT

Master’s-Level Therapist

Hi! My name is Ginger, and I am Master’s Level Therapist at Maleck Therapy. Above all, I believe in creating a compassionate, genuine and respectful space for clients throughout the therapy process. I also believe humor can be a wonderful tool for healing, and I enjoy incorporating this into my sessions.

Making the decision to see a therapist is very vulnerable. You might be worried about feeling judged, or anxious about what might come up throughout the process. Or maybe, you’ve had a poor experience with therapy in the past and are apprehensive about trying again. Many new clients coming to our office have concerns similar to these, and it is my hope that our time together will make you feel understood, validated, and help alleviate these uncomfortable feelings.

To do this, my approach to treatment is primarily informed by person-centered theory and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Many clients find that person-centered therapy helps them to feel “in the driver’s seat” of therapy. Put simply, it promotes the belief that we are each experts of our own lives. CBT, on the other hand, is regarded as one of the most effective means of facilitating therapeutic change.  In blending both of these approaches I view my role as a guide, supporting clients while allowing them to make the decisions that best fit their lives.

I’d love the opportunity to work with you to make the changes and gain the tools you’re looking for.
