LPC Intern
Welcome! Whether you are here for yourself or for someone you love, it can be hard to reach out. The process of finding a mental health professional can be a difficult one and I’m glad you’ve made it this far.
Life is challenging at times. I believe everyone benefits from having at least one person in their lives to listen to and accept them as they are. I hope to build a trusting relationship with you, so you feel comfortable sharing your strengths/struggles with me; then we can collaborate on building on your strengths and working through the struggles you face.
I try to bring my whole self into the counseling room and relationship, and I am interested in getting to know you as a whole person. We are so much more than whatever difficulties bring us into counseling. I am a human first and a counselor second. I strive to be warm, genuine, and gently direct. I welcome working with adult clients from all walks of life – BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and all abilities, gender identities, socioeconomic statuses, and sizes, etc. – on a variety of areas including but not limited to addiction, loss/grief, parenting, foster parenting, adoption, infertility, relationships, and wellness.
I continue to learn about the following theories of interest to me: Person-Centered, Relational Cultural, Schema, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Internal Family Systems. I am open to faith-based practices as well.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and teens, being in nature, dancing, playing games, singing, and songwriting.
